The quality of a consultation is significantly improved when the patient arrives with prepared questions. Here are the most important things to ask — and why each answer matters.
Who will be performing my procedure? The named surgeon you meet in consultation must be the same person performing the extraction and implantation. Ask directly: will you personally be present for the entire procedure, or will technicians take over at any point?
How many procedures do you perform per day? A surgeon performing four or five procedures simultaneously is not personally present for any of them. One, sometimes two, is a more credible answer from a surgeon who is genuinely involved in the technical delivery.
Can I see results from patients with similar hair characteristics to mine? Generic before-and-after photos are less useful than seeing results from patients with similar calibre, density, and loss pattern to your own.
What is your recommended hairline height and why? A surgeon who places the hairline without measuring facial proportions or explaining their rationale should be questioned. The reasoning matters as much as the result.
What is the follow-up policy and what does it include? At minimum, you should expect a check at one to two weeks and a review at six and twelve months. These should be included in the quoted price.
What happens if I am unhappy with the result? Understanding the clinic’s revision policy before you pay is considerably better than finding out afterwards.
